A.  MUCH CONTROVERSY CONCERNING WHAT HAPPENS AT THE RESURRECTION.

B.  INVOLVES THE RULE OF JESUS – IS JESUS A KING YET.

C.  PREMILLENIALISTS MUST SAY NO.  WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

I.  THE ABOLITION OF DEATH.

A.  RESURRECTON, “THEN COMETH THE END."

B.  THE ABOLITION OF DEATH.

          l.  ( Acts 2 )  Christ reigns now.

                   a.  The promise of Jesus (Mark 9:1Acts 1:6-82:1-4, 32).

                   b.  Jesus and David’s throne (Acts 2:29-3133-36).

          2.  ( l Cor. 15:20-26 )  Reigns till the resurrection - Not after.

          3.  Some argue 2 resurrections – but, they say, Jesus is in heaven at God's right hand, Not

                   on an earthly throne until the last dead person is raised.  Then comes the end.  Where

                   does the earthly reign come in?

II.  THE DESTRUCTION OF SATAN’S POWER (Heb. 2:14; 1 Jno. 3:8).

A.  HAVING TRIUMPHED, JESUS SAID ( Matt. 28:18 )

B.  (Matt. 12:28-30 )  BINDING AND SPOILING THE STRONG MAN

C.  (Col. 2:13-15).HE HAS DONE THIS, HENCE THE KINGDOM IS UPON YOU.

D.  THE DEVIL STILL SEEKS ( 1 Pet. 5:8 ). 

E.  BUT WE HAVE POWER ( vs. 9Jas. 4:7 )

C.  THE DAY OF HIS POWER ( Psa. 110:1-4 )

       APPLIED TO CHRIST ( Heb. 5:10 ).

              WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY OF HIS POWER?

A.  HE SITS ON GOD’S RIGHT HAND ( Heb. l:3 ).

B.  HE RULES IN THE MIDST OF HIS ENEMIES2 ( Heb. l:8Eph. 1:20f  )

C.  HIS PEOPLE ARE WILLING SUBJECTS ( Rev. 22:17 )

D.  HE IS PRIEST AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK ( Heb. 6:20 ).

E.  THEREFORE, NOW IS THE DAY OF HIS POWER, OR RULE.
