The Marvelous Doings of the Lord

2. Much of what God has done is Wonderful and passes our ability to comprehend.
B. THE INVENTIONS OF MEN MIGHT BE SAID TO BE MARVELOUS.
1. Computer technology.
2. The St. Louis Arch, built from both ends meeting perfectly in the middle.
3. Man on the moon is a small thing – but a marvelous thing.
C. ALL OF MAN’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS PALE NEXT TO WHAT GOD HAS DONE.
1. Consider the creation of one day (Psa. 118:24). More to it than the sun coming up.
2. Consider the plan of salvation and all that opposed it.
3. What accomplishment of man comes close?
D. Isa. 12:4-6. WE ARE TOLD TO “DECLARE HIS DOINGS” (Psa. 66:5; 77:12).
WHAT ARE THE DOINGS OF GOD?
A. “IN THE BEGINNING …”(Gen. 1:1; Heb. 11:3).
B. HE NOT ONLY MADE IT, BUT HE CONTROLS IT (Acts 17:24-28).
C. IT IS HIS PARTICULAR HANDIWORK (Psa. 19:1; Rom. 1:21).
Psalm 33:9
For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
A. MAN WAS MADE FROM THE LOWEST ELEMENT (Gen. 2:7).
B. BUT HE WAS MADE IN GOD’S IMAGE (Gen. 1:26; Acts 17:28-29).
C. MAN’S SMALLNESS AND GOD’S FAVOR RAISES A QUESTION (Psa. 8:3-9).
D. IT BEHOVES US TO SEEK OUT AND FULFILL OUR PURPOSE (Ecc. 12:13-14).

B. GOD’S WISDOM MADE KNOW THROUGH THE CHURCH (Eph. 3:10-11).
C. IN THE CHURCH IS THE FULNESS OF CHRIST (Eph. 1:22-23).
D. IT IS PRECIOUS TO HIM (Acts 20:28; Eph. 5:25-27).
E. ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES! (Psa. 127:1; Matt. 15:13).
A. REMEMBER THAT MAN IS SPECIAL TO GOD (Gen. 1:26; Acts 17:28-29).
B. BUT MAN HAS SINNED (Rom. 3:23 è 6:23). The wages of sin is death!
C. GOD WANTS ALL TO BE SAVED (2 Pet. 3:9), BUT JUSTICE DEMANDS DEATH!
D. THE CROSS, WHERE LOVE AND JUSTICE MEET (Rom. 3:23-26).
1. Justified by the redemption in Christ’s blood.
2. Why? To show God’s righteousness in justifying the guilty (vs. 26-27).
E. WHAT MUST I DO TO SHARE WITH JESUS IN HIS DEATH? (Rom. 6:3-4, 7).
I MUST BE BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST!
A. THERE IS ONE MORE MARVELOUS DOING OF GOD.
B. HEAVEN (Rev. 21:1-5).
C. DON’T YOU WANT TO GO THERE WITH US?
