Things That Hinder
A. THERE ARE ALWAYS SOME WHO WOULD HINDER THE GOSPEL.
1. Matt. 18:6. A very serious matter.
2. Paul refers to those who hinder as enemies (Phil. 3:17-19). Whose end is Perdition.
B. THERE ARE SOME WHO HINDER TODAY.
A. TOO MANY LIVE WITH ONE FOOT IN THE KINGDOM (Matt. 6:22-24).
1. In the church looking for anything but what it offers (Acts 3:1-6).
2. The church doesn’t exist to satisfy fleshly needs (Rom. 13:13-14; 14:16-17).
B. SERVING FLESHLY NEEDS INVITES SIN TO RULE (Rom. 6:12).
C. WHOSE FRIEND ARE YOU? (Jas. 4:4; 1 Pet. 2:11-12).
A. LEADS TO EVIL GOSSIP (Jas. 3:5-12; 4:11-12; Titus 3:1-2).
B. Gal. 5:14-15. THE QUICKEST WAY TO DESTROY A CHURCH (1 Cor. 3:16-17).
A. IGNORANCE LED TO THE DEATH OF JESUS (Luke 23:34).
B. IS IGNORANCE BAD FOR US? (1 John 3:7; Col. 2:8; 2 Tim. 3:13; Matt. 15:14).

A. HOLDING FORTH THE WORD OF LIFE (Phil 2:16).
1. The gospel is the Power of God (Rom. 1:16-17).
2. But it must be obeyed (Heb. 3:18-19).

B. NOW, WHY DO WE TEACH IT?
1. Why did Jesus come? (Luke 19:10; 5:30-32).
2. What did Jesus say to the self-righteous? (Matt. 21:28-32).
3. Why were the Jews upset? (Luke 15:1-2).
C. DID JESUS LOVE AND ASSOCIATION CONSTITUTE APPROVAL?
1. What did he tell them? (John 8:11).
2. The gospel is full of forgiveness (Luke 23:34).
3. But we cannot continue in our sin (1 Cor. 6:9-11).
4. All sin (Rom. 3:23).
5. But we must repent for ourselves (Acts 2:38), and warn others (Jas. 5:19-20).
D. WHAT ABOUT OUR ATTITUDE? (2 Tim. 2:24-26; Gal. 6:1-2).
A. HAVE YOU OBEYED THE GOSPEL?
